after some thorough research, there actually is pretty good job security and decent salary. As for the field itself, it has been an interest and goal of mine for years, and I am gonna fight for it. Not gonna let fear get me down, gonna get my degrees and do my best at the job.
The only discomforting factor is that the grad program at UCLA accepted 0% of minorities that applied last year (UCLA).
