I didn’t get any gifts, which is fine, I haven’t for years. But I’m kinda disappointed that I put a lot of thought into getting a really nice gift for my mom, and she’s just gonna take it back. I know she liked the gift but would rather I saved my money instead. I just wish I could do nice things without it turning out to be a nuisance instead. Now I’m on the road to LA, excited to see my grandma but not the rest of my loud and invasive family.
